The Milwaukee 6955-20 is a 12-inch dual bevel miter saw that combines power and precision. The 15-Amp, 3.3-Max HP direct drive motor is very unique. It contains a new constant power technology that ensures constant speed under load. No matter whether you don't have a load or are in the middle of cutting a load, the motor will operate at 3,250 RPM. This aspect is beneficial because it allows for a quick and precise cut, especially when using hardwood materials such as lumber. The Milwaukee 6955-20 uses an electronic soft start that gives the carpenter the capability to creep up on the workpiece he is sawing so that it isn't damaged. Although, the soft start does not mean the blade takes forever to speed up. After two seconds, the blade is operating at top speed.

One of the best features about the Milwaukee 6955-20 is the Digital Miter Angle with Fine Adjust with Detent Override. This ends the questionable accuracy since you can dial in exactly what you need the miter angle to be. The digital readout promises precision to 0.1 degree, which is highly admirable. Because of this wonderful characteristic, you have the ability to quickly adjust when working with non-square materials. The fine adjust, which uses a self-zeroing system that works on the complete miter range, allows you to work with the saw with simply one hand changing the fine adjust and the other on the wood, which saves a ton of time. All together, there are 9 positive bevel stops that give the saw the ability to bevel right and left up to 48 degrees, for a huge range of cutting capacity. The large single lever makes these bevel adjustments very quick.

There are built-in dual integral jobsite lights that totally illuminate the wood you are sawing and the cut line from either side of the blade.
